Introductory Spanish for 1st-6th grade from a native Spanish Speaker and fellow homeschooling mom. Spanish is $100 per continuing student + curriculum box ($50) at least one per family. I can have 10 students max under the first teacher license. So register for your spot before we max out.

Group piano lessons allow students to learn together in a fun, encouraging environment while still receiving individual guidance. Students build skills in rhythm, note reading, and technique, while also developing confidence through playing alongside peers. Unlike private lessons that focus on one student at a time, group lessons provide interaction, motivation, and collaborative learning. Classes are $15 per 30-minute session, and students will have the opportunity to showcase what they’ve learned at our end-of-year recital.
Learn simple watercolor and sketching techniques inside a sketchbook format — no pressure, no perfection required. You’ll learn how to: mix and blend clean luminous color, create basic washes, add simple linework, combine watercolor and ink, create depth and value all while building confidence one page at a time!
By the end of the course, you’ll have a collection of beautiful art and the skills to keep going on your own!
Class Description: Students will learn basic vocabulary and concepts of ASL. Classes are both conversational and topical in nature; alphabet, greetings/phrases, numbers, religious, animals, calendar/time, colors, foods etc. Also basic information on Deaf culture and History will be given. Classes are meant to be fun including some games for reinforcement.
This will be a Bible study focusing particularly on godly manhood in its various roles and responsibilities. We will incorporate samples of other books on manhood as we study what the Bible teaches about leadership in the home, work place, church, and community. The Bible study will utilize teaching, readings, and discussion times with weekly outside reading assignments for homework.
Help your teen grow in faith, confidence, and meaningful connection through this engaging Bible study designed just for girls. Using studies by Jennie Allen—including Get Out of Your Head, Find Your People, The Lie You Don’t Know You Believe, and Untangle Your Emotions—students will learn how to take control of their thoughts, understand their emotions, and build strong, Christ-centered friendships.
Each week, girls will dive into Scripture and discover how to identify and replace negative thought patterns with God’s truth, navigate anxiety and comparison, and develop a deeper understanding of their identity in Christ. Through guided discussions and real-life application, students will also learn how to cultivate authentic community and lasting friendships.
This class provides a safe, encouraging environment where teen girls can be known, supported, and equipped to live out their faith with confidence.
Mandy is currently on staff with Attic Productions in Fincastle as a director and in the past has worked with Roanoke Children's Theater directing for them.
Description: Students will explore all aspects of theatre production ranging from the performers on stage, backstage crew, props, costumes, set design and the audience experience. Some classes will focus on the purpose of each component, exploring them in a practical way. The goal will be to have performances with one larger one culminating in an end of the year presentation that family and friends can attend. All props and costumes will be provided. Students are required to bring a notebook, pen, pencil and highlighter. There will be occasional, minimal, homework.
In this class explores storytelling through dance. A variety of styles will be explored including jazz, contemporary, rhythm and dance/drama to bring the stories of Broadway to life! All abilities welcome. This class focuses on dance only, not song. A short recital will be performed at the end of semester 2.
Class Description: In this introductory course of American Sign Language students will learn topics including basic vocabulary, grammar, history, fingerspelling, numbers, terminology, and Deaf culture. Students will have fingerspelling, vocabulary/sentence comprehension quizzes, culture quizzes, and unit tests. There is a minimum of two required Deaf culture events worth 25% of the student's grade. The culture aspect is not only needed to meet the transcript requirement, it is a key ingredient to learning a foreign language! Suggested homework time estimated at one hour per day. Taking time to watch videos and/or study all the links per lesson. In order to count foreign languages towards high school transcript it is best to be 9th-12. However, 8th can count on a transcript if a student continues in ASL for more than one year.
